    KCCA held by Maroons at Luzira

    KCCA FC played out to a goalless stalemate with Maroons FC in the league contest at Luzira on Wednesday.

    Following the goalless draw, the Kasasiro Boys are now third on the Uganda Premier League with 27th points.

    In the 25th minute, Herbert Achayi came close to firing KCCA into the lead but his effort from a free kick went inches over the bar.

    Ivan Ahimbisibwe also had a golden opportunity to strike for the visitors moments later but his effort went wide with only the goalkeeper at his disposal.

    The Kasasiro boys nearly got a late winner through second half substitute Rogers Mugisha but couldn’t hit the target.

    By fulltime whistle, KCCA settled for a point and are now third on the table with 27 points same as leaders Vipers and second placed Police FC.

    KCCA next host UPDF FC on Tuesday 26th January at the MTN Omondi Stadium.
