Ronald Duku has promised ‘fireworks’ when he returns to the ring on Friday to face Ivan Magumba at Bomah Hotel in Gulu City.
The two Light heavyweight fighters will go head to head in the six round fight as Kampala based fighters take on Gulu boxers in the inaugural Inter-City fight night organised by Friends of Boxing and Gulu City Boxing Youth Organization.
Duku fighting in his home area has three professional fights to his name (all wins) returns to action after spending two years out due to family reasons but his optimistic that he will prevail over Magumba in the co-main fight.
“We have had our medical checkups and i am very fine, ready to roar after spending two years out of action. Family reasons have kept me out of action but i am optimistic ahead of the win. We are home and my fans shouldn’t expect disappointments but a knockout win.” Said Duku

Magumba with ten professional fights (eight wins and two defeats) has warned Gulu’s Duku ahead of the fight.
“I know he is a good fighter, yet to test defeat in his professional career but he is good against other fighters not me. He still has to learn a lot of things from me and i believe another knockout win awaits me.” Said Magumba

Magumba has managed six knockout wins while Duku has two knockout victories to his name.
Meanwhile the main fight will be the Lightweight bout (8 rounds) between Yakubu Magumba against Gulu born Kaunda Kenneth. Twelve fights are on the menu with nine fighters expected to make their pro debuts in Gulu.
Tickets for the fight will go from ordinary Shs20000, VIP Shs50000, VVIP Shs100000 while a table is for Shs1M.
