Crested Cranes midfielder Shamirah Nalugya has completed a move to Dinamo Brest Women, signing a one-year contract following her departure from FK Minsk at the end of the season.
The Belarusian club confirmed the development on Wednesday evening through its official social media platforms.
Nalugya joins Dinamo Brest alongside Belarusian Olga Kapyshaolia and Russian Milena Nikitina Mangodominago as the club strengthens its squad ahead of the new campaign.
The Ugandan international has already impressed the technical bench during friendly matches prior to her official unveiling and is expected to play a key role in the team this season.
The former Kampala Queens captain will be aiming to make her competitive debut for Dinamo Brest in March when the league season kicks off.
In the concluded season, Nalugya’s new club finished fifth on the summit.
During the 2024–25 season, Nalugya was directly involved in 16 goals across 21 league appearances, playing a pivotal role in guiding Kampala Queens to the league title.
She was also named the league’s Most Valuable Player.
Reliable sources indicate that several top European clubs are closely monitoring her progress in Belarus, and this could potentially be her final season in the league before securing a move to one of Europe’s elite sides.
Nalugya was also part of the Crested Cranes squad that won the 2022 CECAFA Senior Women’s Championship in Njeru, the national team’s maiden title in the competition.
Over the course of her career, she has featured for Edgar Youth Programme, Isra Soccer Academy, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, Kampala Queens FC, and FK Minsk in Belarus.
