Wasswa Bbosa’s Kitara FC has been boosted with the clearance of four players ahead of their return leg against Mogadishu City in the CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round.

The Royals, who lead the tie 2-1 from the first leg, will go into Saturday’s game at Hoima City Stadium with a more formidable squad after receiving the green light from CAF to field Murushid Juuko, Nicholas Kasozi, Martin Kizza and Jonah Byamukama.

The quartet missed the first leg in Somalia due to licensing delays but have now been cleared to feature, handing head coach Wasswa Bbosa a wealth of experience and depth.

Veteran defender Murushid Juuko and midfield anchor Nicholas Kasozi are expected to add solidity and leadership, while Martin Kizza provides creativity out wide and Jonah Byamukama offers an additional option in attack.

Kitara won the first leg 2-1 on the road and will be looking to finish the job at home to advance to the second preliminary round of the competition.

The game is scheduled for Saturday at Hoima City Stadium with the aggregate winner taking on Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the second preliminary round.
