KCCA FC has unveiled Gabon’s attacking midfielder Axel Mezui as their first signing in this mid-season transfer window.
Axel Mezui joins the Kasasiro Boys from Gabonese side Canon 105, signing a two-year and four-month deal that will keep him at Lugogo until the end of the 2027/28 season.
“I am incredibly happy and proud to join KCCA FC, a club with such a rich history and ambitious future,” Mezui is quoted by the club website.
“I have heard great things about the club, the fans, and the league. I am eager to get started, meet my new teammates, and contribute my best to help the team achieve its goals and bring more silverware to Lugogo.”
Mezui is the third foreigner at the club after Etienne Katenga (Angola) and Joao Gabriel (Brazil).
KCCA FC who visit Buhimba United Saints in Hoima in their next league fixture on Monday, sit fifth on the Uganda Premier League table with 33 points after 17 games.
