Hosts Morocco will fancy their chances to book a place in the AFCON 2025 round of 16 when they take on Zambia in their final group game on Monday at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
The Atlas Lions top Group A with four points – They beat Comoros 2-0 in the tournament opener before they were held 1-1 by Mali.
Coached by Walid Regragui, Morocco will need at least a point to be guaranteed of a place in the knockout.
Against Mali, they got the breakthrough at the stroke of halftime through Ibrahim Diaz penalty but were pegged back when Lassine Sinayoko equalised in similar fashion in the 64th minute.
Despite creating numerous opportunities, Morocco could not find a winner.

Coach Regragui has since confirmed that defender and captain Achraf Hakimi is expected to feature after he missed the opening two games due to fitness issues since an injury in champions league.
Zambia, sitting third with two points after draws against Angola and Comoros, will need to avoid defeat if they are to keep their faint qualification hopes alive.
The top two teams of each group, along with the best four third-placed teams, will advance to the round of 16.
This will be the fourth Africa Cup of Nations meeting between Zambia and Morocco – Of their previous three AFCON meetings, Morocco have recorded two wins, with the other match ending in a draw.
All three previous encounters — in 1986, 1998 and 2023 — were contested at the group stage.
Three teams have already booked their places in the Round of 16 after winning their opening two matches: Egypt, Nigeria and Algeria.
