URA FC will seek to end their recent poor run against SC Villa when the two sides face off at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo on Friday.
The Tax Collectors will also be aiming for back-to-back wins after their remarkable 2-1 comeback victory over Maroons FC on Matchday One.
The Jogoos, on the other hand, drew 1-1 with Kitara FC in their opening game of the campaign at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
URA are yet to pick maximum points against the record league champions since the heartbreaking 1-0 win that denied the Jogoos the title on the final day of the 2022/23 season.
Villa are unbeaten against the Tax Collectors in the previous eight meetings across all competitions, winning four and drawing as many.
Four of the last five matches hosted by URA in this fixture have ended in draws, with one win for Villa – the 2-0 triumph in the Uganda Cup semifinal last term at Nakivubo.
In the league, the two sides played out a goalless stalemate at Nakivubo in the second round of last season, but Zeljko Kovacevic’s charges had prevailed 3-0 in the first-round meeting at Kadiba, courtesy of goals from Frank Mulimi, Missi Diego and Najib Yiga.
SC Villa will once again be without Aslam Ssemakula and Najib Yiga, while URA are likely to miss the services of the duo of Innocent Kisolo and Elvis Ssekajugo.
