Uganda’s representatives St.Mary’s Kitende have thrashed DR Congo 6-0 at the ongoing CAF Schools Championships in Zimbabwe.

Attacker Owen Mukisa scored a hat-trick with Ivan Kakinda and Emmanuel Opio and Musa Kironde adding the other goals for Kitende.

Mukisa gave Kitende the lead in the 9th minute before Kironde doubled their advantage in the 12th minute.

Mukisa ensured that Kitende go into the halftime break with a comfortable 3-0 score when he added another goal.

After the recess, Kakinda scored the fourth and Mukisa completed his hat-trick before Opio sealed the victory with the sixth goal of the contest.

Uganda is now second placed in Group A with four points and will next face Morocco who already advanced. Kitende kicked off their campaign with a 1-1 draw against hosts Zimbabwe on Easter Monday.
