NEC FC head coach Badru Kaddu hopes his side can keep the momentum when they visit Vipers on Tuesday in a Uganda Premier League game at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

NEC beat KCCA FC 3-1 last Friday thanks to a brace from new signing Richard Basangwa while Joseph Sseremba was also on target.

“We hope the boys maintain that form. We were fragile in defence in our last games but improved in that Uganda Cup game and that win against KCCA, we have started to convert chances and defending well,” said Kaddu.

“We are focused and head to Kitende to compete and we believe we can perform better.

“I just hope that they boys are expansive and play to their best.”

Kaddu also added that he will be without the injured trio of Jackson Ssembatya, Emmanuel Ajo and James Jarieko.

Vipers who were held to a 1-1 draw against BUL at Njeru in their previous match, can stretch their lead at the top to five points before Kitara take on URA.

NEC on the other hand, sit seventh with 23 points, 14 adrift of leaders and defending champions Vipers.
