The first round of the 2025/26 season climaxed last week but Vipers SC and Kitara FC finished with less games due to their game that was never played in October last year.
The FUFA competitions department and UPL secretariat are yet to give a verdict on the fixture between the two sides that was never played.
While appearing on NBS Sport on Wednesday morning, FUFA President Moses Magogo asserted that the Kitara Vs Vipers game has become a judicial matter.
“Kitara vs Vipers has become a judicial matter, and the judicial body will decide. But I have told them, this case is damaging our image.” Said Magogo
It should be noted that Vipers were no-show for the game against Kitara FC that was slated to be played on 4th October 2025 at Mandela National Stadium due to their protest over the new league format that FUFA had introduced before it was suspended.
48 hours to the game, Vipers through their president Lawrence Mulindwa wrote to FUFA and UPL secretariat informing the two bodies that they were not to show up for the game in protest for the now suspended new format. Kitara FC showed up for the game that was never played at the empty Namboole Stadium.
Vipers management has since wrote to the federation calling for the rescheduling of the game.
Reports indicate that Vipers may lose the match by forfeiture and also be deducated three points from the already accumulated. The Venoms finished top of the table with 36 points while Kitara FC are fifth with 29 points.
