The Uganda Premier League secretariat released the fixtures for the 2026/27 season with KCCA FC, NEC FC, Entebbe UPPC FC, Kitara FC, Kataka FC and Blacks Power FC all being left out due to stadium issues.
According to the FUFA Licensing Committee, the six clubs had their stadiums fail to meet the required standards.
The six clubs failed to submit alternative venues by the extended Thursday deadline. The mentioned clubs were not included on the fixture list released on Friday, 31st July for the 2026/27 season
Meanwhile UPDF FC, who have been hosting their games at Bombo Barracks Grounds for the previous seasons will for the forthcoming season host at Nakivubo Stadium while newly promoted Kigezi HomeBoyz will have their home games at Rwamwanja Stadium after Al Madina Stadium failed inspection.
Maroons will use Wankulukuku Stadium after Luzira Prisons Stadium was not given greenlight.
As per as the released fixture, the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League campaign will kick off on Friday, August 28, with BUL hosting Express at Njeru.
Other opening-day fixtures will see Lugazi welcome Kigezi HomeBoyz, Maroons take on URA, while Police host Mbarara City.
