The FUFA Juniors League 2026 will officially kick off on Saturday, 7th March 2026, The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has confirmed.
The league will comprise of sixteen (16) Uganda Premier League junior teams.
The competition will be played on a league basis over three rounds.
Participating teams have been drawn into two groups of eight, namely Treble and Hat-trick.
Fufa clarified that each club may register up to 25 players, inclusive of three goalkeepers. The squad must comprise five players born in 2008, including at least one goalkeeper; fifteen players born in 2009 and 2010, with a minimum of one goalkeeper; and five players born in 2011, also including at least one goalkeeper.
According to the draft roadmap, fixtures are scheduled to be released this week. This will be followed by player age verification from 20 to 22 February 2026, before the competition officially kicks off on 7 March 2026.
Vipers SC Junior Team are the defending champions having beaten BUL FC Junior 2-1 in last year’s final at Kadiba to end the Jinja-based side’s three-year reign.
