The FUFA Disciplinary Panel has upheld the result of the Uganda Premier League match between Kitara FC and KCCA FC played on 26th September 2025, dismissing claims that Kitara fielded an ineligible player.

The match, which ended in a 1-1 draw, had come under scrutiny following a complaint lodged by KCCA FC.

The Lugogo-based side alleged that Kitara striker Patrick Kaddu was ineligible to feature in the fixture.

However, in its ruling, the Disciplinary Panel established that Kaddu was duly licensed for the 2025/26 season.

The panel established that although the forward did not appear on the official matchday squad list but it was due to a technical matter in the FUFA system.

The panel said that Kitara FC had made attempts to upload Kaddu’s details onto the system but were unsuccessful.

The panel further noted that the Uganda Premier League secretariat had received Kitara’s matchday list and that the League Manager confirmed to match officials that Kaddu was included.

In its summary of findings, the panel concluded that Kitara FC did not field an ineligible player. It added that it would be unjust to sanction the club over a technical error that was beyond its control.

As a result, the 1-1 match outcome has been upheld and will stand.
