The Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (FUBA) has made adjustments to the 2026 National Basketball League fixtures, barely a week into the new season.
The changes come immediately after the opening weekend and affect several women’s division matchups, including a high-profile Friday night game.
The originally scheduled Friday 7 PM clash between newly promoted Pearl Queens and KCCA Leopards has been revised.
Instead, UCU Lady Canons will now face Magic Stormers on Friday, while the Pearl Queens versus KCCA Leopards encounter has been moved to Saturday, February 14.
Further changes have been made to Saturday fixtures. Games that were initially planned to take place at UCU in Mukono will now be played at Abja Park in Naalya.
FUBA has also amended a women’s fixture scheduled for March 20. The Pearl Queens versus Magic Stormers matchup has been replaced with a game against JT Lady Jaguars.
The adjustments follow a difficult opening outing for the Pearl Queens, who suffered a heavy 74–29 defeat to KCCA Leopards.
As a result, the side has lost some Friday fixtures, which are considered premium slots in the league calendar.
Friday games traditionally attract large crowds and are broadcast live on NBS Sport, making them highly valued by teams, sponsors, and fans alike.
