Bunyoro names strong squad for FUFA Drum semifinal contest against Lango

Bunyoro Province has unveiled its squad for the FUFA Drum semi-final showdown against reigning champions Lango. Bunyoro will visit Lango for the first leg this Saturday.
The Kitara-heavy contingent has been named as Bunyoro eyes a place in the final of the prestigious “Celebrating Our Ancestry” tournament.
Headlining the squad is veteran goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya of Express FC, who joins Afwoyo Richard of Ntugasaze FC and Kitara FC’s Akera Ivan in the goalkeeping department.
The defence features a mix of experience and youth with Lucio Mutesa and Mugume Patrick from Booma FC, Kitara FC trio of Jasper Aheebwa, Henry Musisi and Murushidi Juuko, Maxwell Owachigui from KCCA FC, Kasaija David of Gicumbi FC and unattached Katwe Allan.
In midfield, Kitara FC duo Frank Tumwesigye and Semugera Misi have been summoned alongside John Ssempija of Buhimba, Blacks Power pair Wicliffe Muhumuza and Wabula Emmanuel, and Lugazi FC’s Okello Donato.
The forward line is the most stacked, with SC Villa star Patrick Kakande leading the attack. He is joined by five Kitara FC forwards – Kabon Living, Edison Agondeze, Karim Ndugwa, Kalema Jimmy and Byaruhanga John Bosco – plus Byabacwezi Derrick of BUL FC and Aheebwa Brian of Mbarara City FC.
