Paidha Black Angels (PBA) missed the chance to climb out of the FUFA Big League relegation zone after losing 3-2 to Kigezi HomeBoyz on Tuesday evening.
The breathtaking clash at the Al Madina Stadium produced five goals, all in the first half, including two in the first 10 minutes, and the opener within just a few seconds after kickoff.
Timothy Beinomugisha’s first-minute goal put Kigezi HomeBoyz in the lead, before Bashamu Mugwa doubled the hosts’ advantage after just ten minutes played.
PBA pulled one back in the 22nd minute, but the hosts responded almost immediately, scoring another goal just 10 minutes after conceding. Enock Tumwesigye who converted from the spot to make it 3-1 in the 32nd minute.
At the stroke of halftime, the visitors got their second to reduce the deficit — going into the first half break with the scoreboard reading 3-2 in favor of the hosts.
After full-time, Kigezi HomeBoyz won 3-2, subjecting PBA to their fourth loss of the season so far.
The loss keeps PBA still stuck in the red zone. After 12 games, the Zombo-based club is currently occupying 13th position, with just 14 points, same as 14th placed Onduparaka.
The two West Nile sides are stuck in the red zone alongside Kaaro Karungi (15th with 11 points) and bottom-placed Mbale Heroes (10 points).
Meanwhile, the midweek victory elevates Kigezi HomeBoyz straight from fourth to second position on the table, moving from 19 to 22 points — just three below leaders Blacks Power (25).
