The Uganda Premier League secretariat has announced adjustments to the first round fixtures of the 2025/26 season, affecting Matchdays 12 to 15.
The league confirmed that the changes have been necessitated by a congested football calendar that includes national and continental commitments, key national events, as well as broadcast considerations.
The adjustments take into account the Africa Cup of Nations finals scheduled to take place in Morocco from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
Also, taken into account is the FUFA Drum competition, with Matchdays 3 to 6 slated for 20–28 December 2025, 3–4 January 2026 and 10–11 January 2026.
The Presidential and Parliamentary elections, during which the entire week will be reserved for national activities, has been considered.

As a result, the revised Uganda Premier League first round fixtures will be played in January 2026 as follows:
•Matchday 12: 6 – 8 January
•Matchday 13: 21 – 23 January
•Matchday 14: 27 – 28 January
•Matchday 15: 30 – 31 January
The secretariat confirmed that these fixtures will conclude the first round of the 2025/26 season, ahead of the Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64, the Secondary Registration Window, and the club licensing sporting checks.
Additionally, Matchdays 12 and 13 will feature double-header matches at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
The league also communicated a revision of the Secondary Registration Window for the 2025/26 season. FUFA has adjusted the window to run from 1 February to 2 March 2026.
Clubs have been advised to plan and conclude their transfer business within this period, ensure all player registrations are processed through the FIFA Transfer Matching System and FUFA Connect, and comply fully with all player registration and licensing regulations.
