Namuwongo Blazers will be chasing their first win of the season when they face UCU Canons tonight at Lugogo in the National Basketball League.
The Blazers fell 65–74 to City Oilers in their opening game last Friday.
Only Peter Obleng (11) and Moses Mugisha (10) scored in double digits while new signing Nyembo Fataki had 8 points and 1q rebounds on his debut.
The Blazers struggled with the shot, making just 7-for-30 from three and missed 13 of their 25 free-throws!
Coach Stephen Nyeko will still be without Tonny Drilleba, who is sidelined with an injury.
Nigerian forward Anthony Chuckwurah has also not yet returned to the country, and will be joining the team later in the season.
UCU Canons head into the contest with confidence after beating Uganda Martyrs 79–64 in their season opener and will be hoping to pull off another strong performance.
