    Amus prevails to first leg advantage as Black Star and Buwambo share spoils in battle for FUFA Big League Football

    Amus 2-1 MYDA

    Amus Football Club recovered from a goal down to beat MYDA 2-1 during their first leg of the FUFA Big League promotional playoff played at the Amus College Stadium on Saturday, 13th June 2026.

    Mudashiri Ijosiga and Davis Busuulwa scored the two goals for Amus College who clinched a comeback win.

    Jeremiah Otai netted MYDA’s only goal of the contest that gives them hope ahead of their return fixture next weekend in Kongunga.

    Amus Football Club features in the Eastern Region whereas MYDA plays in the North Eastern region.

    Meanwhile, the contest between Black Star (Kampala Region) and Buwambo United (Buganda Region) played out to a 1-1 draw in the first leg meeting played at the Muteesa II Wankulukuku Stadium in Kabowa.

    Buwambo United will host the return leg next weekend in Buwambo.

    The promotional playoffs action resumes on Sunday, 14th June 2026 with Mutolere Sports Club taking on Booma Football Club at the Mashaka Stadium in Kisoro, South Western Uganda while Pajule Lions will battle Pakwach Young Stars at the Pajule ground.

    Four clubs will gain FUFA Big League football for the season 2026/27 following the relegation of four clubs in Mbale Heroes, Nebbi Central, Soltilo Bright Stars and Wakiso Giants.
